Use every opportunity to speak German. 150 teaching units provide a very solid foundation — but the greatest progress comes from regular application in everyday life. Speak with colleagues in German, read care documentation, and use German-language media.
Keep a vocabulary notebook specifically for nursing terms. Note down new words and phrases immediately after class and review them regularly. Nursing specialist vocabulary in particular needs to be actively learned and practised.
Actively practise speaking. Many participants develop good written skills but feel less confident speaking freely. Regularly practise speaking German out loud — describe your actions, talk about your working day, or practise typical nursing conversations in front of a mirror.
