German language course selection guide for A1 A2 B1 B2 levels in Frankfurt at Lingocare

German Course Frankfurt — How to Choose the Right Course

Frankfurt am Main is one of the most international cities in Germany. Thousands of people search every year for the right German course — whether for citizenship, work, or everyday life. But how do you find the course that fits your situation?

What is my current language level?

The first step is identifying your current level. The Common European Framework of Reference uses six levels: A1 and A2 for beginners, B1 and B2 for intermediate learners, and C1 and C2 for advanced speakers. If you have never studied German before, start at A1. If you can already hold simple conversations, A2 or B1 is the right entry point.

What is my goal?

Your goal determines which course suits you best. For German citizenship you need at least B1 level. For many nursing and medical roles in Germany B2 or even C1 is required. If you want German for everyday life and work, A2 to B1 is a great starting range.
